a great college comparison resource

This is a great college comparison resource from the Collegeboard.
It allows you to simultaneously compare 3 universities, giving you a very legible view of the most important categories, most notably tuition and standardized test requirements.

Here's a brief look at Harvard's basic requirements:

5% of applicants admitted

Essay(s): Required
(note: this is NOT the SAT or ACT essay!)

SAT Reasoning Test or ACT: Required

SAT Subject Tests: Required

SAT Scores
Math: 740-800
Evidence Based Reading & Writing: 720-780
or
ACT Composite Scores 33-35

Be sure to check it out!

Of course, if you're interested in the most recent university rankings, US News is the most commonly quoted:

A fun but intense way to learn the basics.

These video courses are a great way to review your high school courses.

The producers have managed to condense years of information into mere hours. Each video is short and jam-packed with information.

Crashcourse strives to teach difficult subject matter in a humorous and engaging style, and it succeeds. You will never feel bored watching videos from this YouTube channel.

Most major subjects from middle school and high school have already been completed, including biology, physics, chemistry, astronomy, psychology, US history, world history, and even statistics. Those were just a few of the massive range of courses on offer.

I have watched a few of the courses myself from start to finish. If you’re looking for an introduction to a subject, they’re a little heavy going because there’s simply too much information in each video, so it’s easy to get information overload. If you already possess some knowledge on the subject, as do high school students, you’ll love how you can review concepts in such a short amount of time.

The courses are also great if you need a taste of a subject, especially if you’re trying to decide which AP or IB course to take.

Highly recommended!
