“I’ll be home” 和 “I’ll be at home” 以及 “I’m home” 和 “I’m at home” ,
They’re the same.
But they’re NOT!
The most important difference is where the speaker and listener are when the sentence is being said.
If the speaker is going to be at his/her home at a certain time in the future,
we need to use “will”: “I’ll be home” / “I’ll be at home”
Situation 1: Listener IS NOT at the speaker’s home: “I’ll be at home (at 7)” (我7點會在家裡)
Situation 2: Listener IS at the speaker’s home: “I’ll be home (at 7)” (我7點會回來)
If the speaker is at his/her home RIGHT NOW, we do not use “will”: “I’m home” / “I’m at home”
Situation 1: Listener IS NOT at the speaker’s home (speaking on the phone/Line/Facebook, etc):
“I’m at home” (我在家裡。)
Situation 2: Listener IS at the speaker’s home: “I’m home” (我回來了!)
I am home?
Yes, because there is still an imaginary "listener". The speaker is talking to the air/furniture/walls/somebody who is not there.
Btw, because we're speaking, we wouldn't say, "I am home", we'd say, "I'm home".
